Austin, Texas, Job Category: Marketing Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications: The Director of Marketing provides a broader strategic, operational marketing leadership, development, and implementation of business plans that support the growth of the business. Responsibilities include market assessments, defining customer segments and positioning relevant and differentiated service offerings, and driving marketing activities to increase Sonic Healthcare USA’s revenue and profit margins through successful customer acquisition, retention, and optimization. Duties/Responsibilities Conceptualizes and implements the marketing strategy for customer engagement in existing and emerging markets through events, campaigns, direct marketing, and communications. Oversees the performance of campaigns, analyzes trends to see threats and opportunities, and works with the team to optimize programs to improve results. Designs, plans, and executes effective marketing campaigns in line with the plan and measures campaign effectiveness. Collaborates with executive leadership to develop growth plans for the organization. Understands performance metrics and tracking tool for market research, forecasts, competitor analysis, campaign results, and healthcare trends, and translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team. Participates in the development and execution of strategic Marketing/Communication projects that improve efficiency or enhance the customer and patient experience. Develops and promotes PR activities, customer and industry events, and digital media where appropriate. Maintains and cultivates partnerships with teams, stakeholders, clients, and vendors for key marketing functions. Manages and mentors a marketing team, including hiring, training, workloads, and meeting specific deadlines. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives to support the infrastructure. Manages the overall marketing budget, ensures the development of plans, and forecasts that deliver growth and profit objectives. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Thorough understanding of market development and marketing strategies Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in communications technologies Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently, well-organized with attention to detail, self-motivated, and manage several competing priorities Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and often changing environment Proficiency with HTML, SQL, content management systems, and design software Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in digital and brand marketing, and content management. 10+ years of experience developing and executing customer strategies and product management or sales. Experience within laboratory environments is required as well as a thorough understanding of the healthcare landscape. Physical Requirements: Light to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 15 lbs.)
