New York, New York, The Role: Associate Director, N. America Institutional Account Based Marketing – S&P Dow Jones Indices Grade Level: 12 The Location: New York, NY The Team: As an integral member of the S&P Dow Jones Indices’ global marketing team, this position is responsible for driving awareness and adoption of S&P DJI Fixed Income and Multi-Asset offerings and index-linked products in close collaboration with our Institutional clients and industry partners. As part of the broader commercial organization, Marketing is responsible for helping to drive market share, revenue and leads, connecting Marketing activities (advertising, digital marketing, content marketing, etc.) to specific commercial outcomes . The position is part of S&P DJI’s Account-Based Marketing (ABM) team, whose remit is to help develop and execute omni-channel product and channel marketing strategies to improve competitive positioning, brand awareness and educational support of S&P DJI Fixed Income and Multi-Asset products and capabilities to targeted audience profiles primarily across asset owners, capital markets and insurance. The individual will communicate and collaborate regularly with a team of distinct specialists from disciplines across the marketing mix, lead commercial stakeholders, and serve as the primary marketing relationship manager for external partners (ETF providers, exchanges, insurance carriers, pension plans, etc.). The Impact: This role will help promote the S&P DJI brand as the world’s leading, independent, index solutions provider in Fixed Income and Multi-Assets. This role has responsibility for the public outcomes of S&P DJI’s marketing in a business that is the largest global resource for essential index-based concepts, data and research, and home to iconic financial market indicators, such as the S&P 500?? and the Dow Jones Industrial Average??. The individual will be responsible for driving marketing and commercial outcomes in the institutional space in North America, with a specific focus in Fixed Income and Multi-Assets. You will work closely with all parts of the S&P DJI organization, including Client Coverage, Channel, Product, Research, Client Services, Legal, etc. You will be an ambassador for S&P DJI and cultivate a high-performance culture of client-centrism, disciplined execution, collaboration, innovation, and integrity. Responsibilities: As part of the North America Commercial Marketing team , you will be responsible for helping to drive market share, revenue and leads, connecting Marketing activities to specific commercial outcomes, focusing on: Channel Marketing. This role’s primary focus is on audience-informed product positioning, the integration of marketing techniques, and product education with key strategic channels/audiences. The role aligns marketing best practices for the channel/audience – institutional, insurance and capital markets, with exposure to wealth – and includes optimizing connectivity of techniques and content recycling across the entire marketing mix (physical, events programming, digital and 3rd- party publication platforms, content marketing, etc.). Partner Marketing. Responsible for managing growth opportunities and relationships with key partners and clients in N. America. Includes nurturing marketing relationships with regional key clients, strategic partners, and exchanges to promote downstream awareness of S&P DJI’s brand and underlying index-linked products and data. Product Marketing. Focus on positioning S&P DJI’s Fixed Income and Multi-Asset capabilities across the investor spectrum. You will be a critical part of a team that supports revenue growth and brand awareness of our product lines and expertise. will help strategically position and activate our technology value proposition, narrative and capabilities in BMC programs and initiatives. Program Management. Oversight of channel and account-based marketing strategies’ performance in a transparent and informative manner for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure a rigorous, systematic and transparent metrics analysis to underpin the team’s and business leaders’ decision processes. The role owns direct responsibility for marketing activities and their related metrics, partnering directly with sales and product management to achieve strategic commercial outcomes. Qualifications: 7+ years of professional experience in financial services’, experience with the Institutional Channel preferred Knowledge of Fixed Income and Multi-Assets Must be able to demonstrate commercial results and actionable outcomes. Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred) Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a track record of driving measurable and significant results. Must demonstrate strong management and leadership skills. Account Based Marketing (ABM) experience preferred. Requires ability to interact with varying levels of management and stakeholders across the organization Preferred Qualifications: Foundational understanding of the principals of passive vs active management, the primary uses of indices, and index-based products by portfolio managers, financial analysis, institutional-quality asset owners and product issuers preferred. Comprehension of the basic tenants of investment management /asset allocation and the goals of financial market participants -institutional investors, financial advisors, etc. Experience with multiple elements of the marketing mix including content marketing, digital, webinar/event, and social channels to drive B2B2C marketing campaigns Experience required in advancing strategic plans and objectives into operational campaigns and using information obtained to inform strategy modifications and changes. Must exhibit excellent project / program management skills with ability to prioritize many conflicting business needs and act accordingly in a timely manner. Must identify internal and external client and partner needs and formulate and execute product positioning strategies from a product and macro / S&P DJI brand perspective. Must exhibit exploratory, forward thinking, solution-solving style and ability to rationalize available opportunities for the S&P DJI opportunity set. Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only) S&P Global states that the anticipated minimum base salary for this position is $130,000 – $160,000 depending on experience, with addition to bonus . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
